SA: SA teachers vote this week to protect rights

South Australian teachers are expected to impose a work-to-rule plan this week following
the state government's failure to pass on a pay rise.

Australian Education Union state president JOHN GREGORY says teachers won a four per
cent interim wage increase on December 22.

But Mr GREGORY says the increase still hasn't been included in pay and there is no
guarantee it will be included in pay in coming weeks.

He says teachers will vote this week to insist on temporary relief teachers for every
absence, claim travel while on duty or insist on work vehicles, and impose a moratorium
on the Partnerships 21 autonomy scheme until improvements are made.
